Common questions
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts — cancel whenever you need to.
Does this replace a traditional landline?
Yes. Connecton works over the internet, so it's ready for the UK PSTN switch-off. No copper line or engineer visit required.
Do appointment and renewal reminders cost extra?
No. Both are included on every plan at no extra charge. Reminders are sent as texts from your business number. On Starter, each reminder text counts towards your 100 outbound messages, so 40 clients with two renewal reminders each would use 80. If you reach 100, automatic reminders are put on hold and we'll let you know in the app and by email. Held reminders go out as soon as you upgrade, or when your allowance resets. On Unlimited, reminders count towards the fair use level of 2,000 messages a month. Appointment reminders send a confirmation, then up to three reminders (30, 7 and 1 day before, with fewer for weekly or monthly bookings). Renewal reminders send up to two texts per renewal, between 9am and 5pm on UK working days. Find out more about appointment reminders and renewal reminders.
What does fair use mean on Unlimited?
Unlimited is for normal business use. If you go over 5,000 outbound minutes or 2,000 outbound messages in a month, we'll review your account and may offer a plan that better fits your usage. Most customers never get close. See section 5 of our terms for the full fair usage policy.
What's included in the monthly price?
Every Connecton feature is included on both plans: your business number, call screening, voicemail, call forwarding, business texting, missed-call text back, and appointment and renewal reminders. The plans only differ in outbound usage. Starter includes 500 minutes and 100 messages a month, and Unlimited has no cap, subject to fair use. See the blog for guides on getting set up.
