Our Services provide UK businesses and individuals with a dedicated virtual phone number, enabling call management, SMS messaging, and voicemail through your existing phone or browser — without the need for additional hardware.

You can contact us at: info@connecton.co.uk

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract under English law;
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information; and
  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to access our Services. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
  • All activity that occurs under your account; and
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You must not share your account credentials with any third party. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to safeguard your login details.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Paid Plans

All access to the Connecton platform requires a paid subscription. Details of available plans and pricing are set out at www.connecton.co.uk/pricing. All prices are stated in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Our Services are provided subject to our Fair Usage Policy set out in Section 5 below.

4.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan). Payment is taken automatically using the payment method you provide at registration.

4.3 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you and may suspend access to your Services until payment is received. We reserve the right to terminate your account following persistent non-payment.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for any unused portion of a subscription period, except as required by law.

4.5 Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Fair Usage Policy

Fair usage policies are standard across the UK telecommunications industry. They help us maintain a reliable, cost-effective service for all customers. This Fair Usage Policy applies to your use of the Connecton virtual phone and messaging Services. Outbound usage limits and charges depend on your subscription plan.

5.1 Plan Allowances

Unless otherwise stated on our pricing page at the time you subscribe:

  • Starter plan — includes 500 outbound call minutes and 100 outbound SMS messages per billing period. Inbound calls and inbound messages are not subject to these outbound limits.
  • Unlimited plan — includes unlimited outbound calls and messages for normal business use, subject to the fair usage thresholds in Section 5.4 below. Inbound calls and inbound messages are not subject to outbound limits.

On the Starter plan, outbound call minutes used beyond your included allowance are charged at 5p per minute. There is no hard cap on outbound call minutes on the Starter plan once overage charges apply. Outbound SMS on the Starter plan is capped at 100 messages per billing period; you must upgrade to the Unlimited plan to send further outbound messages.

5.2 Included Destinations

Allowances and inclusive usage under this policy apply only to outbound communications to:

  • UK local and national geographic numbers (numbers beginning 01, 02, or 03); and
  • UK mobile numbers on the major UK GSM networks (Vodafone, O2, EE including T-Mobile and Orange, Virgin, and Three).

Inclusive usage does not include:

  • Non-geographic numbers (08xx, including 0845 and 0870);
  • Premium-rate numbers (09xx);
  • International calls or messages;
  • Calls or messages to the Channel Islands;
  • Internet access or dial-up numbers; or
  • Calls to UK mobiles on networks other than those listed above (including, without limitation, Lyca, Lebara, and other mobile virtual network operators not based on the major UK GSM cellular networks).

Communications to excluded destinations are not covered by your plan allowance and may be blocked or charged at our then-current standard rates, as displayed on our website or notified to you in advance.

5.3 Per-Call Duration Limit

Inclusive outbound call minutes are limited to 60 minutes per individual call. Where a single outbound call exceeds 60 minutes, any time beyond 60 minutes is charged at our then-current standard outbound rate or, on the Starter plan, at the applicable overage rate (currently 5p per minute).

5.4 Unlimited Plan Fair Usage Thresholds

Although the Unlimited plan is described as offering unlimited outbound usage, it remains subject to fair usage limits to protect network integrity and ensure service quality for all customers. If, during any billing period, your outbound usage exceeds any of the following thresholds, we may take action under Section 5.5:

  • 5,000 outbound call minutes; or
  • 2,000 outbound SMS messages.

These thresholds apply to normal business communications. They are not a target usage level and most customers will not approach them.

5.5 Excess Usage and Our Rights

If you exceed the limits set out in this Fair Usage Policy, we may:

  • Charge you at our then-current standard rates for usage beyond your inclusive allowance;
  • Offer you a more appropriate plan for your level of usage;
  • Suspend your access to outbound calls or messages; or
  • Terminate your account in accordance with Section 12.

On the Unlimited plan, if we offer you an alternative plan and you do not agree to move to it within a reasonable time, we may terminate your Services immediately.

We will act reasonably when applying any of the measures in this section and will, where practicable, notify you before restricting or terminating your Services, except where immediate action is necessary to protect our network, comply with law, or prevent fraud or abuse.

5.6 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Fair Usage Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in accordance with Section 13. The current version will always be available on our website.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful business or personal communications. You must not use our Services to:

  • Make nuisance, abusive, threatening, or fraudulent calls or send spam messages;
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including the Communications Act 2003 and UK GDPR;
  • Engage in any conduct that could damage, disable, or impair our network or systems;
  • Use automated diallers, robocalling, or mass unsolicited messaging without appropriate consent; or
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Services without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe you are in breach of this clause.

7. Phone Number Allocation

Phone numbers are allocated to you on a licence basis and remain the property of the relevant UK telecommunications regulator. We do not guarantee the continued availability of any specific number and reserve the right to withdraw or reallocate numbers in accordance with regulatory requirements.

You may not port your Connecton number to another provider without following our number porting process. We will facilitate porting requests in accordance with UK regulatory obligations.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Services depend on third-party telecommunications infrastructure, and we accept no liability for outages or degradation caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you in advance of planned maintenance that may affect your service. Emergency maintenance may be carried out without prior notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Connecton platform, website, branding, and documentation belong to Connecton Ltd or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for the duration of your subscription. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform or content without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for:

  • Any loss of profits, revenue, business, data, or goodwill (whether direct or indirect);
  • Any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage; or
  • Any loss arising from your reliance on the Services for emergency communications.

Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You acknowledge that Connecton is not a replacement for emergency services (999 / 112) and must not be used as your sole means of emergency communication.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Connecton, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services in breach of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:

  • You breach these Terms;
  • You fail to pay amounts due; or
  • We are required to do so by law or a regulatory authority.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data retention obligations.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you are resident.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Services.
